My husband is in the army-infantry, so between his active job and my love for running and exercise, nutrition is very important to our household. I was fascinated with the way diet can help prevent diseases, improve disease states, and control weight. I decided to major in dietetics at Louisiana Tech University, where the love for the dietetic profession bloomed. I graduated with a B.S. in nutrition and dietetics while playing college softball for 3 years. I learned first-hand how nutrition can affect not only performance, but so much more while trying to keep up a busy lifestyle.
