About Hannah Whitesides

Growing up with a parent with Type 1 diabetes, I was exposed at an early age to the realities of living with a chronic health condition. I have seen firsthand how individualized treatment plans, medications, and medical technology can reduce the impact of a disease and improve overall health and well-being. As a nurse practitioner, I am committed to helping patients achieve the best possible health outcomes, through management of chronic conditions, health screenings, vaccinations and supporting lifestyle changes. I consider myself a lifelong learner and prioritize staying current with medical guidelines and emerging research so I can provide evidence-based, high-quality care. I also enjoy empowering my patients with the knowledge and skills to enable them to successfully manage their health conditions. I have special interests in diabetes and high blood pressure management. I am also passionate about sexual health: HIV prevention (PrEP), STI treatment and contraception management. My husband and I relocated to Charlotte in 2025 to be closer to both of our families and are grateful to be part of the community. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with our dogs, walking Charlotte's greenways, exploring new restaurants, and unwinding through cooking and gardening.
