Haorong Yao’s passion for Chinese Medicine began at a young age. He earned admission to the renowned Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1999 and underwent seven years of rigorous training. Following graduation, he gained extensive experience as a Chinese Medicine doctor in hospitals in China.

Dr. Yao does a good service of acupuncture! I fell down the stairs last winter, and the lower part of my back, legs, and foot got hurt. Dr. Yao started to treat my legs and back; very nice improvement is being seen. My pain is relieved gradually, with great tension released. I highly recommend everyone do acupuncture with Dr. Yao.

This was my first experience with acupuncture, and it could not have gone better. I showed up to the appointment with literally tons of symptoms that I wanted to work on, and Dr. Yao took time to listen and work on each one. He has true knowledge and experience. I feel the difference in my well-being after only a few sessions.

Dr. Yao was fantastic- he treated me for my TMJ, neck/back pain from computer work and even addressed my stress levels to help with better sleep. He used a combination of acupuncture, electro stimulation and cupping. He spent 1.5hr on my first treatment and I have never had such a comprehensive experience. I highly recommend him to others, particularly because he accepts many major insurance.

I was new to acupuncture, so I didn't have any expectations. However, it turned out to be incredibly relaxing, probably the most calming experience I've ever had – even better than a massage. Dr. Yao is great! I started receiving acupuncture treatments to address neck pain and to help manage stress. I think acupuncture has helped the most with the recovery of course. To me, it is calming and meditative and quickly became one of my favorite self-care rituals.

Weight loss! I have lost 40 lbs (1 pound per week) due to Dr. Yao's excellent treatment. He is the only acupuncture doctor who has successfully enabled me to achieve my goals, in contrast to other acupuncturists in the Washington DC area and internationally.
Dr. Yao has great humility, and always listens attentively. His approach is calm, pain-free and respectful. He asks questions about my progress following my last visit. He genuinely is concerned about my health.
Pain Relief! Using both acupuncture and cupping, Dr. Yao has eliminated severe pain in my foot, legs, hip, neck, elbow, sinus, and fascia. He is successfully treating my insomnia and digestion problems. He has a vast medical knowledge.
Dr. Yao and his office are hygienic. Pricing for services is very reasonable. The clinic is open Monday through Friday and Saturday mornings. Enjoy Acupuncture is in-network for multiple types of insurance.
After each visit, I look forward to my next, and I Enjoy Acupuncture!

I have been suffering from chronic migraines since high school, and I have literally been on painkillers every day.Lately, I have been almost having one every day. My husband came upon Dr. Yao and finally convinced me to try acupuncture. Although I was a bit scared of the needles, I thought of trying anyway. Dr. Yao was very tender and assured me that the needles would cause me no pain and the sensation would be like being picked or a simple poke, very much like when you get poked by your dog's whiskers. The actual pain was only subtly relieved at first—that went on from the beginning up to the first three sessions of the treatment.
But on the fourth and the fifth sessions, the feeling has really changed a lot: the headaches are minimized. Now I can be active doing my dailies like a normal guy without always living in constant pain. He has just made me feel that I don't have to live somehow through life, enduring the pain; I suggest Dr. Yao!

I have been troubled with hip pain for many years now, but it got worse two months ago. My doctor told me to do an MRI. However, I just couldn't, because it hurt me so badly that I couldn't even lie down. I had to sleep on the sofa every night. Today, I am so thankful to find Dr. Yao; he is really amazing with his treatment. Four treatments later, my hip pain significantly reduced, and I can again sleep in bed all night long without waking up.

Have been to several acupuncturists in the area and even worked in one of their offices for a few years because of my belief in acupuncture. Dr. Yao by far has been one of the best acupuncturist I’ve ever experienced for not just one condition, but treatment of various conditions. He is extremely thorough, gentle and most observant. He takes his time with his patients and listens to all their concerns. I highly recommend him to anyone who is apprehensive about acupuncture or even afraid of needles like I was. I assure you that you will not feel the needles. I cannot say enough about his professionalism. You will not be disappointed.

Anxiety has been a major problem of mine. It usually comes with tightness in my throat, headaches, and lack of focus at work. My friend recommended Dr. Yao to me. He is such a nice and understanding person. In only one visit, I saw significant changes in my headache and neck pain. Today, after two months of treatment, my anxiety has tremendously decreased. My memory is significantly improved, and so is my sleep. I would highly recommend Dr. Yao for the same.

I heard about Enjoy Acupuncture from my friend and I've been there to get acupuncture and cupping about 2-4 times a month for half an year. Dr. Yao at Enjoy Acupuncture is very knowledgeable about traditional Chinese therapy. He listens to your questions and takes time to explain it. The clinic is clean, organized, and relaxing. I am happy with the treatment outcome and chose to go there even though I need to drive for an hour there. I would definitely recommend Dr. Yao and Enjoy Acupuncture to my family and friends.

I went to Enjoy Acupuncture for my shoulder pain and stomach pain. Dr. Yao is very nice and friendly to his patients. His acupuncture skill is excellent and he has deep knowledge of herb medicine. Dr. Yao addressed all my questions, did acupuncture and cupping for me during my visit. My symptoms got better after the visit. This clinic is my go to spot.
