I work with ages 18-99 and treat a variety of common and less common mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, and ADHD. My focus I work with a wide variety of clients, including, but not limited to, those with grief and loss, depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, schizoaffective disorder, dementia-associated depression, personality disorders, and mental health issues arising from traumatic brain injury. My approach My approach to care is compassionate and whole-person centered. Your overall health, medical needs, and psychosocial challenges will be taken into account when designing a mental health plan of care. I focus on healthy lifestyle education, providing brief psychotherapy using motivating and positive methods, and prescribing medication if needed. My communication style My communication style is calm, compassionate, and client-centered. I will meet with you without judgment and with genuine interest in your perspective. My journey to mental healthcare After many years of informally supporting others, such as friends, family, and primary care patients, and better understanding myself, combined with an interest in neuropsychology, I decided to become a psychiatric nurse practitioner. I both celebrate and empathize with the human condition. My goals for you My approach to goal setting is that we will work together at a pace that is comfortable for you. Together, we will create a plan of care that works towards the goals that you wish to pursue in combination with my guidance from an evidence-based practice perspective. We will celebrate as you achieve milestones & will work through setbacks together.
