About Dr. Heather Low
Dr. Heather Low’s journey into the world of healing began early on, while caring for her siblings and animals. Her decade-long dedication to competitive gymnastics fueled her passion for human movement, leading her to pursue a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. Shortly thereafter, Dr. Low personally experienced the transformative power of acupuncture, setting her on a clear path forward.
She went on to earn her master’s degree at the Acupuncture & Integrative Medicine College in Berkeley, followed by a doctorate from Five Branches University in Santa Cruz, solidifying her expertise in Traditional Chinese Medicine. As a Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Dr. Low employs acupuncture, cupping, bodywork, moxibustion, and other holistic modalities to effectively address a wide array of health concerns.
As a licensed acupuncturist with a decade of clinical experience, Dr. Low has collaborated with UC Berkeley’s Sports Medicine Department and esteemed practitioners of tu ina and herbal medicine across the Bay Area.
Known for her gentle touch and nearly painless needling technique, she approaches acupuncture with finesse and compassion. Harnessing her healing energy, Dr. Low tunes into imbalances of the body, mind, and spirit. With gentle hands, she guides her patients towards restored balance. She specializes in pain management, with expertise also extending to hormonal imbalances, psycho-emotional health, insomnia, and GI disorders.
