About Dr. Heidi Christensen
Dr. Heidi Christensen is board certified in Sports Medicine and Emergency Medicine. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from Loma Linda University, completed her Residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of Arizona, and pursued a Fellowship in Sports Medicine at Stanford Health Care, O'Connor Hospital. She cares for a wide variety of non-operative musculoskeletal injuries and acute medical conditions. Dr. Christensen believes in preventive medicine and helping patients achieve optimal wellness.
Her goal is to keep patients active and healthy. She treats activity-related injuries and chronic musculoskeletal ailments, such as shoulder pain, knee pain, osteoarthritis, and concussion. She enjoys working with patients of all ages and partners with them to create personalized treatment plans. Dr. Christensen is skilled in ultrasound technology, including ultrasound-guided procedures, and offers experience with injection procedures, including platelet-rich plasma (PRP).
Dr. Christensen serves as medical director of our Urgent Care services. She has worked as an Emergency Physician at several local hospitals and at Loma Linda University Medical Center, where she was an Assistant Professor for the Emergency Medicine Residency Program. She is skilled in diagnosing and treating acute medical conditions and performing minor procedures such as laceration repair, abscess incision and drainage, and reduction of dislocations and simple fractures.
As a team physician for Rock Canyon High School and an athlete herself, Dr. Christensen has a passion for sports and giving back to her local community. In the fall, you can often find her on the sidelines of varsity football games.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, including her husband, Dr. Mark Christensen, their young son and daughter, and their dog. She is a big sports fan and loves attending local sporting events each year.

Heidi was great. She took all the time I needed to go over my condition and concerns. I felt she was thorough in discussing my treatment. She made me feel at ease.
My only issue was there was a lot of paperwork to fill out for a new patient. I was there for hip pain, not sure why they needed my entire medical history. I didn't even get through all of it before Heidi saw me. But she was great. Glad Zocdoc pulled her up for me. I didn't know where to start for my pain.

Everyone from the front desk, to intake, to xray tech, to Doctor were incredibly friendly and patient. My dr. took the time to actually here me out and have a conversation with me to address my concerns. I did not feel at any point like they were trying to rush me out to get onto the next patient. I would absolutely go there again, and I would encourage my spouse and friends to go there, if there needs are within scope of the office. 9.8/10!
