What is your typical process for working with clients?
1st visit: Psych evaluation (1hr) to fully assess patient needs and effectively diagnose patient including ruling out any underlying medical disease, order baseline labs, likely referral to therapist.
2nd visit: Psych follow up evaluation (30mins) to reassess patient's current status, lab review, collaboratively come up with evidence based treatment, obtain consent for treatment and initiate treatment as needed.
3rd visit: Psych follow up evaluation (30mins) continued evaluation for progress, medication management and monitoring.

Horrible listener. Assumed things. Got mad at me for not remembering to tell him something when I am here for to CONTINUE my meds from my past provider not be re evaluated by a NP who thinks they’re a psychiatrist and tell me that 40 mg of adderal is “dangerous” this man is laughable. He also thinks he knows better than the patient when they have been on the same meds that have worked just fine for the last 15 years. Disgraceful

Getting screened for mental health conditions can be a very sensitive and vulnerable experience for the patient. I wish Nurse Ibitokun had taken that into account more during my appointment. The questionnaires are pretty frustrating and I know that that has nothing to do with him but he didn't seem to grasp that this exam was a big deal for me and that I might need a little compassion. I do believe that he correctly diagnosed me and set forth a clear plan going forward. I just didn't enjoy the route to get there.
