About Dr. Hesum Chegini
Dr. Hesum Chegini earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his Rheumatology fellowship at the University of Maryland Medical Center and is board-certified in both Rheumatology and Internal Medicine. Before joining our practice, Dr. Chegini dedicated nearly a decade to providing exceptional care in Maryland. He was affiliated with Washington Hospital Center, Holy Cross Hospital, and Suburban Hospital. Additionally, he served as an adjunct faculty member in Medicine for Kaiser Permanente, where he mentored residents and doctors in training. From 2017 to 2019, Dr. Chegini served as an Executive Board Member of the Montgomery County Medical Society, advocating for both physicians and patients, and his contributions were recognized. He brings extensive experience in diagnosing and managing a broad spectrum of autoimmune rheumatologic disorders, as well as conditions affecting the joints, muscles, tendons, and bones. Currently accepting new patients, Dr. Chegini believes in collaborating closely with each individual to develop personalized treatment plans for recovery and long-term health.

I haven’t seen a rheumatologist in many years due to multiple family moves, having 2 kids etc. I was beginning to get irritated by the fact the doctor would ask me a question and in the middle of me answering he would interrupt and ask something else. Other than that he was very thorough and ordered a bunch of bloodwork as well as imaging. I’m unsure if the office has an online portal to chat with the doctor, look at test results so im hoping I hear back from the doctor or his staff regarding my blood work and x ray results

Gave me a diagnosis, but didn't explain how I got it, what to avoid, any heat/cold therapy options, or OTC pain meds. Had to ask Dr Google for that. He's nice but not helpful.
