For her, there is no greater feeling than hearing a client express gratitude for not giving up on them. Her own experiences with rural America's healthcare disparities sparked her interest in the field. Born and raised in a small town in central New York, she witnessed minimal healthcare resources, especially for mental health, which was highly stigmatized. It was difficult for her to watch a close family member struggle with mental illness, fearing being shunned if someone “caught” her seeking care. Beene wanted to help but felt helpless. Raised to always assist those in need, she became a mental health nurse and ultimately a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP), where she felt she could make an even bigger difference. She wants her clients to know they can be themselves without fear of judgment or rejection. Beene retired from the Air Force Reserves after 20 years and truly loves working with her clients, especially those with a military background. She understands the stressors many in the military face, having lived them herself. Outside of work, Beene enjoys working out and spending as much time as possible outdoors. She loves hiking, boating, and fishing with her husband, their two dogs, and their extended family. She also enjoys challenging DIY projects and remodeling her home.

I tried calling the office and they didn’t answer and went straight to voicemail but then no voicemail just went to call the ended. Did not see the provider need a refund
Video visit
I scheduled the appointment through Zocdoc and the doctor was a no show. I called the number for assistance and the woman at Happier Living said I needed to fill out paperwork but I never received an email. The woman was very ignorant and had a hard time following what I was trying to explain to her. Horrible experience I will be deleting the app and not suggesting it to anyone else.
