Dr. Gilbert is a prominent internist and infectious disease specialist, practicing in New York City and Westchester, NY. She received her undergraduate degree from Columbia University, graduating Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from Northwestern University Medical School. Dr. Gilbert completed her internship, residency, and fellowship in Infectious Diseases at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. After completing her primary care and specialty training, she worked at St. Vincent's Medical Center, practicing Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases. She particularly enjoyed working with NYU students.
Dr. Gilbert opened her own private practice in 2003. She provides comprehensive primary care, seeing patients for routine physical exams, disease screening and prevention, and sick visits. She prides herself on making sure those who are sick are seen either the same day or the next day. She enjoys seeing patients of all ages and loves developing relationships that can last a lifetime.
Dr. Gilbert also specializes in infectious diseases, including MRSA, tuberculosis, Lyme disease, HIV, pneumonia, hepatitis B and C, bone and joint infections, and parasitic infections. She enjoys counseling travelers on how not to get sick before a trip and administers any necessary vaccinations, including yellow fever. She also provides consultations for PrEP for HIV prevention, as well as STD screening and counseling.
Since the pandemic, she has opened a second practice in Westchester. Many of her patients were no longer in the city but still needed medical care. Some were so sick they needed to be seen at home. That is how Scarsdale Health & House Calls came to be.

I can’t say enough good things about this doc. After seeing multiple doctors who brushed off my immune system issues and questions, she was the first one to suggest blood tests.
