“Dr. Xiao was amazing and very thorough and attentive to my situation. She was very prompt and unlike other doctors, truly listened to my symptoms and gave me good feedback and treatment. The nurses were sweet but it seemed the other staff was in a rush to get to lunch so they seemed very irritated and in a rush which made me nervous while getting my blood drawn. Really kind of rude, but in the end the phlebotomist drew my blood painlessly and I cannot recommend Dr. Xiao enough!”

About Dr. Hong Xiao
Dr. Xiao dedicates herself to empowering her patients and their families to live longer, healthier lives. Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, she has a passion for practicing comprehensive medicine and a commitment to providing quality patient care.
Hong brings more than 20 years of experience to Fairway Family Medicine. She previously served as an Associate Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, where she instructed both residents and medical students while seeing patients daily. She has received the Best Teaching Award multiple times from residents and medical students over the years. Dr. Xiao has also contributed book chapters for the 5-Minute Clinical Consult.
She earned her Bachelor of Medicine from Harbin Medical University and completed her Family Medicine residency at the University of Texas Southwestern.
Dr. Xiao is an avid member of the Dallas healthcare community. She previously served as President of the Texas Chinese Physicians Association and as an Executive Officer of the Texas Academy of Family Physicians, Dallas chapter, as well as a committee member for the Texas Academy of Family Physicians. Hong is a firm believer in “paying it forward” and actively participates in health fairs across the DFW metroplex. She has a particular interest in preventive care, chronic disease management, and healthcare across the spectrum of ages.
Hong lives in Lewisville, Texas, with her husband and four sons. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, jogging, and spending time with her family.

Phlebotomist at the office had poor bedside manner, needed multiple sticks to get access to my vein, and left me very bruised. Went for my annual but had billing issues (should've been covered completed but I received a bill including additional services not rendered).

There are too many patients scheduled at a time with only one provider in the office. That results in very little interaction with the provider and patient. I was a new patient going here for the first time. The provider did not take time to ask me about my concerns, was rushing through the entire time she was in the room. I was going to see how the visit was and if the experience was good then was going to fix this as our primary care office.
Both me and my husband have been in the healthcare field for over 10 years and ourselves have taken care of ample amount of patients and worked with lot of providers but I never experienced such poor bedside manners by a provider that I have visited so far in the US. I am an administrator at a very reputed hospital in the city. I would never recommend patients to go over here.
The front desk staff and the MA who took care of me were very nice and professional. The doctor and the lab service was horrible. I felt the patients are not treated as customers but as commodities. If you do not have time to take care of a patient then why start a practice? I could clearly see the tension among the office staff as they were helpless and the doctor was going around giving orders and shouting at everyone. Every patient visiting here has good insurance. Why not treat patients with respect and dignity and value the profession that you are licensed for.

I enjoyed my visit with Dr. Xiao. The entire place was very clean and the staff was knowledgeable. They were able to get my appointment done in a timely manner and made sure I understood everything that was done and why it was done.

Dr. Hong Xiao is very professional and knowledgeable. However the lady that drew my blood was very very rude, and made me feel uncomfortable. I think twice about going back because I felt I was treated very rude by her, she gave me commands like if I were a dog. She is giving a bad name for your company.
