Dr. Mowery’s clinical approach is flexible, integrative, and founded in solid research training. She views psychotherapy as most effective when her training meets your experience; thus, she prefers to collaborate with her clients to develop an evidence-based treatment plan that can efficiently address problem areas in their lives.
Dr. Mowery received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Indiana University in 2010, and completed her internship and post-doctorate training with a specialized focus on behavioral medicine. She has extensive experience practicing mindfulness-, behavioral-, and cognitive-behavioral-based therapies. She has been trained in ACT, CBT, BT, CPT, MI, and DBT over the course of her graduate and post-graduate training. Her primary practice orientation is ACT integrated with CBT. Her practice experience includes a diverse group of adults in multiple problem areas, and her clinical specialties include health psychology/behavioral medicine, adjustment, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and post-traumatic stress.
