In today's complex medical environment, I take pride in caring for my patients for life - in the office or clinic, during hospitalization and intensive care, and in nursing homes. When other medical specialists, such as surgeons or obstetricians, are involved, I coordinate my patient's care and manage difficult medical problems associated with that care. I provide primary and consultative medical care for family members ages 15 and older. For over 35 years, I have concentrated on diagnosing and managing acute and chronic illnesses. I'm a firm believer in comprehensive care and practices in evidence-supported medicine. I believe strongly in the benefits of preventive medicine and taking the time to know each of my patients. As an internist, I'm equipped to deal with a patient's problem, whether common or rare or simple or complex. I'm specially trained to solve puzzling diagnostic problems and can handle severe chronic illnesses and situations where several different illnesses may strike simultaneously. I also bring patients an understanding of wellness (disease prevention and the promotion of health), women's health, substance abuse, and mental health, and effective treatment of common problems of the eyes, ears, skin, nervous system, and reproductive organs.
