“Although I was initially scared to try acupuncture, Howard’s bedside manner and calming approach made me feel more relaxed. I’ve been struggling with back and neck pain for years and finally decided to do something about it. During my initial eval, Howard did a very thorough assessment before devising a treatment plan and setting expectations for results. I liked that he was realistic and when placing the needles, he was very gentle. The placements didn’t hurt at all, even in more sensitive spots like the neck. The whole session was very therapeutic. Though I didn’t notice any improvement right away, I did feel like my whole body was less tense. I definitely would return for more sessions. ”

“Dr Tso and staff were all amazing. Maybe it’s just a personal preference, but I don’t enjoy listening to a Pilates instructor yelling at her class the entire time I’m trying to relax during an acupuncture session. I will go to Dr Tso’s other office on 32nd Street going forward. Never Madison Ave again. He and the staff were amazingly kind, helpful, and thorough. The Pilates during treatment was just awful. ”

I am a licensed acupuncturist in the state of New York and hold a master's degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from New York College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. I also earned my bachelor's degree from St. John's University.
My practice focuses on the utilization of acupuncture for pain management, weight loss, anxiety and depression, reproductive issues, digestive complaints, skin conditions, as well as stress management.

Howard was amazing! He is a great listener and really put all my fears to rest. I was a bit nervous, but he has a gentle touch and knew exact how to evaluate and treat my neck and back. I have gone for a lot of treatments, but this is the first time I felt heard. Even better, I still feel great after my treatment. I will be going back and highly recommend his expertise and care.

If you're looking for a doctor who has genuine care for their patients and is excellent in listening to patient needs and offering advice, Howard would be your ideal choice. He took the time to learn about my symptoms and understand which part of my health that I would like to improve through acupuncture and Chinese medicine, he and his team then took great care of me everything I went for treatment and check-in with me on my progress every time I went back. I would definitely recommend Howard!

I've been having nagging knee pain and exhausted all forms of treatment. I finally decided to try accupuncture to try to alleviate the pain. A friend of mine recommended Howard and I was not disappointed. He was very professional and evaluated where the pain of my knee was coming from. I've never had accupuncture before but he comforted me in his explanation of the simple procedure inserting the needles in different accupuncture points. It was a painless procedure and after the appointment I am already starting the feel the pain alleviate. A follow-up was recommended and I have no hesitation in going back to get treatment by Howard again! Highly recommended!!!

I have gone to Mr. Tso for a combination of acupuncture and cupping for over half a year now and because of the great level of service I will continue to attend. Mr. Tso has given me some great advice to reduce my intake of alcohol because it was affecting my body (specifically my liver) he was able to tell that by looking to my tongue! I never have to wait long for my appointment and the entire staff is friendly and welcoming. The facilities are also very clean. My one complaint about the location is that my cell phone reception is not great there, but that has nothing really to do with the level of service provided. If you live or work in the area you can't go wrong with visiting this clinic and Mr. Tso. I hope this review helps guide your decision.

Howard is the only acupuncturist I would go to. Every time I go there I’m always welcomed as part of the office family. Howard really listens and makes sure that he tends to any ailments I have. He really takes care of

Howard is the best! Not only does he know exactly what areas will give you the most relief, he explains the science behind what he's doing. He makes sure you are comfortable and has a very gentle touch. He has treated my sciatica, prepped me for shoulder surgery and the rehab after, relieved my tendonitis when no one else could and stopped my reoccurring back spasms. I saw him on October 30 to get ready for another surgery and I feel more confident about the outcome.
Can't recommend Howard highly enough. His treatment will make a difference in how you feel.

I could not wait to go back after my 1st visit. I went in w/ horrible neck pain and after my session I was already feeling so much better. Will definitely be continuing treatment for my neck and any other issues I enconter w/ Dr. Tso.
