Getting to know Dr. Hung Nguyen

Dr. Hung Nguyen earned his Doctor of Medicine from Spartan Health Sciences University School of Medicine. He completed his General Psychiatry residency at Cooper University Hospital, part of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He continued his education as a fellow at Jackson Memorial Hospital/University of Miami’s Child and Adolescent Psychiatry program. After completing his formal education, he moved to the Fort Lauderdale area and joined Broward Health, where he currently works in the Community Health Service program. His duties include working in the dual diagnosis programs at Stepping Stones, the House of Hope, and the Salvation Army. In 2011, he became affiliated with Florida International University’s Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine as a Clinical Assistant Professor.
Dr. Nguyen enjoys teaching medical students, emphasizing a holistic approach in evaluating and treating patients. His focus includes ADHD, depression, anxiety, and the younger generation’s psychosocial stressors of growing up in a complicated world. He prides himself on taking the time to really get to know and listen to each of his patients. His calm demeanor makes patients feel right at home.
