Ola Omoniyi became an Illinois Board Certified Nurse Practitioner in 2021. She received her undergraduate degree at Valparaiso University in Indiana and her master’s degree from the University of St. Francis in Joliet. She completed her clinical rotation in mental health at Will County Behavioral Health in Joliet. Ola worked at Rush University Medical Centre for 5 years in the behavioral health unit as a Registered Nurse and 5years at other behavioral health hospitals in Chicago. Ola uses the following approaches: Mindfulness-Based (MBCT), Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Behavior Modification, Positive Psychology, Motivational Interviewing, Holistic approach, and Narrative Therapy. Ola Omoniyi provides psychiatric treatment of patients across the lifespan from depression, bipolar, schizoaffective, schizophrenia, and anxiety disorders: including panic disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, and OCD. Ola provides a supportive environment for your healing process through compassionate care with empathy, respect, and dignity, regardless of your circumstances. I also incorporate genuineness and active listening. While I was working inpatient at my first nursing job in 2014, my mentor noticed that I was good with patients. She actually encouraged me to try behavioral health. My primary motivation is the profound impact psychiatry can have on improving the lives of individuals struggling with mental health conditions. Witnessing patients progress and regain their well-being is a deeply rewarding experience for me. I provide the client with information, options, and empower them to make informed choices. I confirm what the client wants to achieve. We set realistic goals that are within the client's capabilities. I ensure goals are meaningful and aligned with the client's overall health

Provider was nice and thorough, but used some insensitive/triggering language regarding my mental health struggles, seemed to misunderstand what I said, and was inflexible regarding medication-related requests.

I booked the appointment and was never contacted. I called the office like they said to do and was immediately sent to voicemail. Love it!
