Serene Behavioral Health provides comprehensive behavioral services from Adult to Geriatric Psychiatry. Dr. Iftikhar Rasul has been practicing since 1992. He specializes in adult and geriatric psychiatry, covering a wide variety of disorders. These include: depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity, dementia and related disorders. Dr. Rasul completed his Residency in Psychiatry at the University of Kansas School of Medicine in 2003. He went on to complete a Fellowship in Geriatric Psychiatry at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami Florida. Dr. Rasul has worked at Winter Haven Hospital since 2004 where he worked in different capacities treating inpatient as well as outpatient. He also oversaw a memory clinic dedicated to treating patients with memory loss associated with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, stroke and other brain injuries. He has also worked at Florida Hospital since 2010. Most recently, Dr. Rasul has been seeing patients at University Behavioral Center in Orlando. Dr. Rasul became a Psychiatrist to help people and families struggling with mental illness and cognitive disorders in order to improve the quality of their lives. He has a passion for helping others.

Appointment was nice, doctor was very clear. However, my prescription did not arrived in the pharmacy because my DOB was wrong. To solve it I try to call many times to the office. I left a message, but it was useless. So, I had to go to the office in order to solve it. The receptionist is there, but still no one answers the phone.
Also, I took the medication and I face many side effects. The other day, I tried to call the office to talk about it and it was the same thing: no one answered the phone.
Finally, I decided to cancel my next appointment. Same thing, no one answered the phone. So, I sent an email.

Dr.Rasul has been amazing every visit I've had with him. I've have been visiting Dr. Rasul for about 6 months now. He listens to me and makes me feel very comfortable. His staff his friendly and I would highly recommend him to anyone even considering it. I'm a regular patient of Dr.Rasul, and I am extremely happy with his care!!!!!!!

Very old school mentality. Didn’t answer any concerns I had about being on certain medications. Completely silent office which made it really awkward while he types things about you in the computer. Wrote me a script told me I was bipolar and that was it. Oh and made me feel like an idiot for using medical marijuana, and said that marijuana and cbd are the same thing. All in all, bad experience. I’m sure he’s great if your old and just want your pills.

So far I have had an extremely positive experience as Dr. Rasul’s patient. I am able to be seen very quickly and Dr. Rasul takes the time to listen to his patient’s concerns. A small office, but I prefer this type of medical setting for issues regarding mental health. Highly recommend.
