About Dr. Igor Chaplik
Dr. Igor Chaplik was born in Odessa, Ukraine and immigrated to Miami Beach, Florida with his family. He graduated Miami Beach Senior High School at the top of his class. Staying locally, he graduated with high honors and Phi Beta Kappa at The University of Miami. Dr. Igor Chaplik graduated from Nova Southeastern Medical School in Fort Lauderdale with high honors. He was awarded the Morton Terry Award for Internal Medicine and subsequently trained in Dermatology at St. Barnabas Medical Center in New York, where he was Chief Resident. After training with leaders in the field of Cosmetic and Dermatologic Surgery, Dr. Chaplik joined a practice on Madison Avenue in New York City. Sunny weather, family and friends, as well as the opportunity to expand an already thriving practice, brought Dr. Chaplik back to the Miami area. In partnership Dr. Chaplik subsequently opened 5 offices in the greater Miami area with an emphasis on consistent quality patient care. The early success of these practices had driven Dr. Chaplik to merge with Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery. A desire to perform more customized and detail oriented procedures and to serve one area, Dr Chaplik opened up Aesthetix Skin and Surgery Center. Aesthetix is an integrated, holistic approach to skin health. We believe that your skin is a reflection of your combined physical, emotional and social well being. By treating our patients with evidence based principles, we strive to incorporate each individual's goals through a personalized treatment plan. It is our goal to improve, maintain , and support you along the path to being your best self. Dr. Chaplik is a fellow of the American Society of Mohs surgery and American Academy of Dermatologic Surgery. He is an Associate Professor of Dermatology at Nova Southeastern and an associate residency instructor.

Excellent dermatologist with professional staff and someone who I highly recommend. His listening skills and medical knowledge were top notch and he diagnosed my condition in under five minutes. My other dermatologist had misdiagnosed my condition and I wasted and suffered through a year of pain and discomfort, applying steroidal ointment that didnt relieve anything. Grrrrr! I am changing to Dr. C, effective immediately. Thank you for helping me find the root cause of the problem and a remedy.

I went but he was unable to give advice about my varicose veins. I spent money on the copay for literally nothing.. I was in and out of the office in 20 minutes. Also the nurses did not smile. It wasn’t a bright and inviting environment and the office was dirty. Wouldn’t recommend.

My visit was pleasant and the PA I saw was knowledgeable. I am awaiting results from some labs so I have given a 4-star rating until the follow up is concluded so I can fairly assess how long it takes and how the results are shared before giving a 5-star one.

This was my first visit. Dr. Chaplik seemed to be very competent and easy to talk to. There was a mix-up in that my appointment was with the doctor. However, I was initially examined by his assistant. He did come in later and removed tissue for a biopsy and also examined me. At first, staff at the desk did not want to accept Medicare as my primary insurance. However, I persisted, and they accepted Medicare.

I came in with a dermatitis issue. I wasn't really heard at all. Nobody finished listening to my symptoms. They in fact asked me if I had a cold recently and I very clearly said no. The doctor then diagnosed me with something related to the cold. I didn't have a cold. I can't have a "rash" from a cold that I never had. On top of that I have other symptoms pointing to this issue as well but nobody listened or allowed me to speak more about it. This has been going on for almost 3 months. It will not go away on its own. I had to advocate for myself and get a biopsy. In the future I hope you actually listen to your patients and actually take their symptoms into account. Even my husband felt I was not listened to and he was very angry with the way I was treated. It was very unhelpful. He barely even examined me. He doesnt even know my full list of symptoms because he rushed me out and didn't even give me anything for this. I was completely brushed off. This was just an awful experience.
