Dr. Weisz is an experienced, Board Certified Psychiatrist distinguished by his gentle and caring manner. He specializes in treating Anxiety, Depression, Panic Attacks, and Bipolar Disorder. Dr. Weisz earned his medical degree from Heinrich-Heine-Universit?t D?sseldorf Medizinische Fakult?t and completed his undergraduate studies at Kiel University. He completed his residency in Psychiatry at Napa State Hospital.

From my first intake appointment, my impression was that Dr. Weisz is very compassionate, personable, and knowledgable. He was thorough, attentive, focused, and committed to treating my conditions in the best way possible. I felt like he respected my judgment and truthfulness, which is very important to me. He made suggestions about a specific psychological treatments that I hadn't previously considered but definitely seems appropriate, and also about using personalization medication based on genetics, which I hadn't realized was available in the context of psychiatric conditions. I feel fortunate to have found him, and feel hopeful for the first time in a while that my psychiatric conditions will improve with his help and my self-effort.

I was very nervous about seeing a psychiatrist for the first time and I generally do not do well in these settings as my anxiety gets the best of me and I get nervous. I have a lot of past issues and sometimes talking about them makes me even more uncomfortable because it is not so pleasant. However, he made me feel heard, did not interrupt me, he explained the process of our appointment and would let me know what he would start asking about. He said he would discuss options of treatment at the end. I felt he took his time in talking to me, did not feel rushed like you generally do at appointments. He valued listening to me and asked follow up questions. Highly recommend. I decided to see him due to his great ratings and I am glad I did.

After speaking with a few different mental health professionals over the past year, I found Dr Weisz to be among the most patient, understanding, and competent. He heard what I had to say, and if I disagreed with something he said, he took the time to see my unique point of view before responding. Many other professionals made me feel like they had "seen my type before" but Dr Weisz made me feel personally listened to and seen, even if the meeting ended up taking a lot longer than we thought it would as a result. I appreciated his patience and dedication to seeing my side a lot.

I had visited a psychiatrist once before and was totally upset by his bedside manner, his attitude, and his go-to was feeding me pills. Dr. Weisz asked questions, listened to my answers. Wanted to know how I felt and talked to me about what his plans in helping me were. He made an appointment with me for two weeks afterwards. In the meanwhile, he made arrangements for me to see someone who will help me manage my issues. I am thus far very satisfied.

Attentive, brilliant, professional, organize, polite, and very kind. Was very patient with me even though I was anxious and my thoughts were scattered all over the place. Unlike most psychiatrists, he listens and engages rather than hurrily diagnosing the patient and slapping a label of mental illness and writing a prescribtion automatically.

Dr. Weisz was very kind and listened to everything I had to say and he asked the right questions. I drove from San Jose to see him in SF. This is the first psychiatrist I ever visited and was concerned about the whole process. He made me feel comfortable and tried to give me the best options to solve my problems. Caring and down to earth. Go see him!
