Getting to know Ikenna Okechukwu

Hi there, I'm Ikenna! My name is Ikenna Okechukwu PMHNP. I received my Master's degree from Walden University. I am enthusiastic about collaborating with you on your road to optimal mental well-being, and my experience and attitude distinguish me as an appropriate partner in your mental health treatment. I provide a blend of advanced training, clinical expertise, and genuine empathy, and my objective is to heal symptoms and understand you thoroughly. My approach My approach to mental healthcare is primarily based on a cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) framework. Apart from medication management, I focus on identifying and modifying negative thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to a client's psychological distress while also considering the impact of their environment and life experiences. To encourage long-lasting change, this frequently entails teaching coping skills, creating goals together, and actively involving clients in the therapy process. My focus I love working with patients 18 years and above, regardless of ethnicity and socioeconomic background. I provide a full range of primary mental health care services, including biopsychosocial assessment and diagnosis of patients with mental illness and co-occurring disorders. I love clients who are eager to work closely with the provider to improve their mental health and get the best possible outcome. My communication style I communicate in a cool, accommodating, and kind manner. I take great satisfaction in my ability to listen to my clients without passing judgment, and I want them to feel at ease discussing anything with me. I also give assignments to ensure we're improving and not simply talking.
