Dr. Imranjot Sekhon demonstrated poor bedside manner and did not adequately listen to my concerns. I came to him specifically to discuss weight loss through natural methods or possibly a GLP-1 medication, and I clearly stated that weight-loss surgery was not something I was interested in pursuing.
After prescribing a medication that my insurance would not cover, I returned to discuss alternative options. Instead of exploring other solutions aligned with my goals, he repeatedly pushed weight-loss surgery despite me clearly stating multiple times that I was not interested. He also sent a referral to a weight-loss clinic without my consent.
This experience made me feel uncomfortable and unheard as a patient. I was looking for collaborative care and respect for my treatment preferences, but instead felt pressured toward a path I had already declined.
