Dr. Richards is double board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in General Psychiatry and in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She completed residency and fellowship at the University of Texas in Austin and served as the chief fellow during her 5th year. She is now affiliate faculty at University of Texas and helps educate residents and fellows. After training, she went on to work in a variety of clinical settings including inpatient psychiatry, consult liaison psychiatry, emergency psychiatry, and most recently outpatient services. She has significant experience working with both addictions and eating disorders and has a special interest in anxiety disorders. When she isn’t working, she enjoys hiking, running, cooking, and spending time with her family.
