“The staff was welcoming and courteous. The wait time was less than 10 minutes. The doctor is knowledgeable, experienced and professional. He listened to all my concerns and addressed each one. He was thorough and did not rush, He does vaccinations, blood and urine testing on premises, which saves me time because I am not scheduling additional appointments for vaccines and labwork. It was a positive experience. I have tried various doctors in my insurance network in this neighborhood, including Advantagecare (with 0 copay), and he is by far the best one. I am willing to pay the copay for a better outcome. ”

Dr. Ira Steinmetz, a Board Certified Internist, was born and raised in the Sheepshead Bay section of Brooklyn.
He attended Columbia University, earning his bachelor's degree, and then graduated with honors from the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center, where he earned his Doctor of Medicine. He completed both his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Maimonides Medical Center.
Dr. Steinmetz has been practicing medicine in our community for almost 30 years.
