Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Dr. Khan brings a warm and culturally informed perspective shaped by diverse clinical training across New York City and Miami, a multilingual background, experiences living internationally, and a curiosity for art and culture shaped through travel to over 20 countries. She values understanding each patient’s unique experiences, relationships, and goals. She trained through the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst and pursued advanced specialty training in child, adolescent, and developmental psychiatry through Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine and Citrus Health Network. She also completed additional training in psychodynamic and psychoanalytic psychotherapy through the New York Psychoanalytic Society & Institute.

What should a new client know about working with you?

At this time we accept United, Aetna, Oscar, Cigna, and Optum insurances that are non medicare/medicaid based. Currently we offer tele-only appointments. Important to note: Out of respect to our physician’s time, there is a REFUNDABLE 25$ deposit to hold the appointment spot. This will be refunded to the patient when they show to the appointment. If the patient fails to show for the appointment or cancels with less than 24hour notice, this will be charged to cover costs of the appointment. Regardless of insurance coverage, patients are required to supply a credit card at the time of booking the appointment.

Dr. Khan's approach combines evidence-based psychiatry with individualized care that considers lifestyle, stress, relationships, physical health. She works collaboratively with patients to develop treatment plans that improve focus, emotional well-being, daily functioning, and overall quality of life.
