About Dr. Irina Dimitrova
Dr. Irina Dimitrova is a third-generation internist who puts her clients at the center of care, helping them set realistic and achievable health goals. She strives to be a physician who listens and offers evidence-based recommendations that align with the person’s priorities and values. She has spent her career as a hospitalist, so she is experienced in managing multiple acute health conditions.
Dr. Dimitrova has been active in several areas of medical research during her time as a hospitalist and has been involved with medical education, first at NYU Grossman School of Medicine and more recently overseeing interns from the University of Texas at Austin Dell Medical School’s Department of Neurology. While still in New York, she helped develop and implement system-wide quality improvement initiatives throughout New York City’s 11 public hospitals to reduce wasteful testing and hospital-acquired infections.
As she guides her primary care clients to achieve their health goals, she, too, sets personal wellness goals such as regular exercise and healthy eating. It is especially important to her to role model healthy lifestyle choices for her two young children. She enjoys trying new Central Texas restaurants, taking walks in her neighborhood with her family, and exploring local parks.

Dr. Dimitrova was a FANTASTIC primary care provider! I've had issues with doctors in the past who are dismissive and otherwise unreliable when it comes to patient care, but Dr. Dimitrova knocked it out of the park. She is a great listener and very thoughtful with her time, and her answers to my questions were clear and actionable. I am very happy with my choice of doctor, and I look forward to continuing to have her be my PCP.

This was my first time with this doctor. I booked through ZocDoc. My visit was for a yearly visit. No actual human contacted me in prior to my appointment. I was unable to complete my check in forms prior to my appointment due to an issue with their system. I tried calling multiple times and never got through. I was not informed that I would need to fast prior to my appointment. This resulted in me having to make another appointment to come back to do blood work. I needed to change that appointment and once again, I could not get through on the phone. My check up with the dr was luke warm at best. The only thing she did was take me off one of my meds that after a week of being off it proved to be the wrong choice.

Dr. Dimitrova seems to know her stuff. This was a first meeting, and I am old (ish) and have a pretty full list of physical maladies, so I needed probably a bit more time than a doctor typically plans for. But though she did keep things moving, she asked a lot of questions and satisfied most of my own, so I plan to stick around and see how things go. She and her staff were very professional, polished and courteous. And the waiting room, exam room and bathroom were sharp and very, very clean (important to me)! Bravo, guys!

Had my first appointment today. By following the instructions for the appointment and entering all of the information online, I was seen without delay. The front office staff was very friendly. The nurse who took my vitals and initial information was friendly and professional. The doctor spent a great deal of time with me, wanting to understand. Any concerns I might have. Although this was a wellness visit to establish as a new patient she was careful to ask in several ways if there were any other issues or concerns I might have and addressed them all. She clearly described everything that she was recommending and asked me multiple times if I had questions.

As soon as you walk in the door it is a clean, open and comfortable office. There was an immediate warm welcome, all questions and guidance from the front desk were clear, personable and professional. The front desk and CNA were very kind and welcoming!! I waited less than ten minutes!! That ranked high on my time schedule!! (that is so rare to have a short wait). Dr. Dimitrova has a great bedside manner. She was comprehensive, professional and has a down to earth humble approach.
I am very pleased to have her and her staff as my primary care team.

I have bounced around many clinics in Austin in the last couple of years to find a physician I felt comfortable with. Dr. Dimitrova is one of the first doctors where I had felt heard and not rushed. She's approachable and thorough, and the staff was super friendly and delightful too! I went in the morning and the wait time was short. I'm so glad to have found her here.
