Getting to know Dr. Isaiah Bercot
I am Dr. Isaiah Bercot, a licensed psychiatrist located in the greater Denver area, serving all of Colorado through telehealth and in-person appointments. I earned my Doctor of Medicine from the University of Texas, San Antonio, and completed my residency in psychiatry there as well. My areas of specialty include ADD, ADHD, anxiety, panic disorder, insomnia, sensory processing disorder, and depression, including altitude-induced and seasonal depression. I work with both teenagers and adults, taking an individualized and patient-centered approach to medical care. I understand that no two patients are alike and that there is no magical pill that will treat everyone.
My goal is to listen carefully to each person and understand their unique symptoms to devise a collaborative, individualized treatment plan and find the medication that works best for each patient.
When I became a doctor, I asked myself, ?What do I like about my doctor, and what type of doctor do I dislike going to?? I realized that what I disliked most was not feeling listened to, being interrupted, and not having a choice in my own treatment. That is why I give all my patients the respect they deserve. I am not the expert on you. While I have many years of education and medical knowledge, only you are the expert on yourself. I am here to learn from you and to develop a treatment plan together.
