He holds a Master’s degree in Psychology from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas, and a Ph.D. in Psychology from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City. Since 1986, Italo has worked as a consultant and coach for TEAM Inc. and the Center for Creative Leadership. He has extensive experience as a feedback coach for executives enrolled in leadership development programs across the United States, Mexico, and Latin America. Additionally, he has consulted for several nonprofit organizations in San Antonio, helping maximize their social impact in the community. Over the past thirty years, Italo has also taught as an adjunct professor at various universities in both countries. Dr. Samano has been in private practice at the Alamo Mental Health Group since 1995, providing individual and family therapy. With over thirty years of clinical experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly, he follows a cognitive-behavioral approach to psychotherapy. He is a strong advocate for all his patients and encourages a healthy balance of mind, body, and spirit in their lives.
