About Ivy Kwielford
As a licensed acupuncturist with a Master's in Oriental Medicine and a Bachelor's degree from the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine, Ivy Kwielford treats patients with a wide variety of problems. She helps people with all types of pain, including back, neck, shoulder, hip, knee, arthritis, joint issues, and headaches. Ivy also works with stress relief, anxiety, depression, insomnia, digestive issues, and the negative side effects of chemotherapy.
Acupuncture can be used for any imbalance in the body. The goal is not only to correct symptoms and pain but to heal the whole body by addressing the root of the problem. Ivy has extensive experience in treating lower back pain, neck and shoulder pain, and hip and knee pain.
In addition to acupuncture, Ivy offers modalities such as cupping and guasha. These therapies are performed during or after acupuncture treatments to further resolve an issue. She also recommends herbal medicine and provides nutritional guidance to her patients to support healing.
Ivy takes time to listen to each patient and believes in being thorough to provide the best treatments possible. Her patients often feel relief fairly quickly. Having previously been a personal trainer, Ivy can also advise on therapeutic exercises and routines.
Ivy provides acupuncture, massage, exercise, and nutrition guidance in both the Glenview and Gurnee offices of the Body and Mind Wellness Center.
