About Dr. J. Palmer Branch
Dr. Branch is an Atlanta area native and has been in private practice since 1997. He attended Furman University in Greenville, SC for his Bachelor of Science degree and then Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine where he received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree. He completed a podiatric surgical residency at Wellington Regional Medical Center in West Palm Beach, FL where he received extensive training in foot and ankle surgery including repair of complex fractures, tendon injuries, soft tissue trauma, infections, elective surgery, reconstructive surgery and pediatric surgery of the foot and ankle.
He is married and is the proud father of a beautiful daughter. After practicing in Tampa, FL briefly, he practiced in the Chattanooga, TN area before returning to the Atlanta metropolitan area in 2007 to open his own practice. He has board certification in Foot Surgery as well as in Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. Outside interests include scuba diving, a vegetable garden, and traveling.

The staff was not well organized and the Dr. was rather dismissive. The tech who set up for my procedure was grabbing all of the supplies in her arms with no gloves and then dropped them on the surgical tray and left. There was no sterility. I had to end up seeing another provider for the issue because the Dr. left a piece of nail in my toe! When I went back to tell him the toe wasn't healing right, he barely looked at it and said it was fine.

Found the office staff very stiff and demanding, I stood there awhile before even be acknowledge, Found X Ray equipment very out dated, X Rays shown on Doctors Laptop were unreadable, He though he new my problem after two injections made no difference, Still can't walk on my foot, Doctor was much more Pleasent then his staff was, Really don't want to go back but I must as I still have the same issues,

I arrived on site on time for this appt. I received confirmation by text and email and prefilled the required forms online prior to the visit. Once arrived, I was told that the office was not notified until 5 minutes before my arrival and would not have time to validate my insurance. The options were to pay out of pocket or “wait to see” if they could get to calling the insurance provider. When I asked was rescheduling an option I was then asked if I would like to go to another office. This county is well known for discrimination and I will not be returning as I felt very unwelcomed. The front desk staff seemed overwhelmed as I overheard them not wanting to take inquiry calls from patients about insurance claims. Do not waste your time traveling to this office, I did not even get a chance to see doctor, based on this experience, I can only guess that the doctor is very aware of the staffs disposition and lack of professionalism.

Got to the office at my appointment time and the doors were locked. The office was not clean there was a box of trash at the front desk and the doctor wasn’t even in the office today. Never seen a doctor

Overall visit was great but i got there at 2:30 wasnt seen until about 4 (it was well past 3:40). Other than that the staff was friendly there was clear communication and with my situation he made me feel comfortable enough even though its embarrassing! Most definitely would recommend just plan to be there for about 2 hours

Zocdoc system is not too desirable. Scheduling would be much easier just to call the office. Doctor gave me the impression he was well versed and would not do any procedure unnecessarily. Liked that about him!
