About Jachonda Coats
Jachonda Coats is a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing compassionate care for women across all stages of life. She has diverse experience in both acute and outpatient settings which shaped her comprehensive approach to health.
Jachonda provides a full range of women’s health services, including preventative care, management of gynecologic conditions, and contraceptive counseling and procedures. Guided by evidence-based practice, Jachonda is dedicated to fostering safe, supportive space where patients feel heard and empowered to take an active role in their health.
She completed both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Doctor of Nursing Practice at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and has since relocated to Texas to continue providing patient-centered women’s healthcare.

I’ve had trial & error with so many doctors in different states. This doctor gave me the reassurance I needed & optional plans regarding my treatment. I also hate getting labs done due to the needle & roughness; the needle was small & painless. By far the easiest lab I’ve ever had in all years of doctors/hospital visits. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

I was intentional about choosing the provider I made my appointment with. I drove 53 minutes, and waited over an hour and a half to see Dr. Coats. When another Dr walked in and told me she’d be seeing me instead of Dr. Coats, because she was too busy, I was very disappointed. For the drive, and the amount of time I had already waited, I didn’t mind waiting a bit longer. I took the whole day off just for this appointment. I felt overlooked and as if my time wasn’t as valuable as anyone else’s.
