Because we accept insurance, we can reduce out-of-pocket expenses and still offer high-quality care. You may not have any cost related to your visit with us, depending upon your insurance plan. Most patients pay a small copay per visit, subject to any deductible or coinsurance that your health plan has. The Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services determines appropriate billing guidelines. These guidelines depend on the length of the visit and the complexity and severity of your diagnosis. For this reason, we need to wait until after the visit for the final determination. We then submit the claim to your insurance company. The charges are calculated based upon pre-negotiated prices with your insurance company. Your insurance company will then determine what amount, if any, is your responsibility per your insurance plan.

I was booked with this physician listed as a Medicare provider--at 30 minutes prior to appointment the service sent an email with 5 other providers to choose from--this after I researched the physician a psychiatrist no less and was suddenly disenfranchised due to a sudden awareness that he would not take Medicare--incredibly the practice has over 600 physicians and is psychiatry based as a RN I find this reprehensible--I called and spoke with a rep about this but what if a patient is suicidal and gets cancelled 30 minutes prior not a good look.

Dr. Kannarkat was my first experience with therapy, and I unfortunately was less than impressed. I found him to be very condescending and would make me feel slighted when I would ask questions (including drug interactions) or answer his questions (laughing a lot). My past few appointments with him, I have left feeling pretty crummy, so I will be switching to a different healthcare provider.

I cannot recommend Dr. Kannarkat enough. He has helped me immensely already after my first week of treatment. He is a great listener, and answered all my questions about treatments. He also is very available to speak to patients & communicates well with other doctors.

Dr. Jacob Kannarkat is super on top of things, fast, kind, and compassionate. I was hesitant at first to engage with an out of network doctor because I was concerned about past experiences with psychiatrists who rush you. Dr Kannarkat is the opposite. He took a long time consulting me, following up with my doctors to check that there weren’t any issues with my medication, and making sure my accommodation letter was right.

Dr. Kannarkat is amazing. He is kind and courteous, and he takes time to make sure all my needs are met. I can’t quite explain how nice it feels to finally find a psychiatrist who is a model medical professional. I can’t say enough good things about him! Stellar! Truly!
