About Dr. Jacob Wolfrum
Jacob Wolfrum, DPM, is originally from Buffalo, NY. He is a dedicated and empathetic board-certified podiatrist and surgeon who is focused on providing compassionate care to improve his patients’ quality of life and activity levels.
Dr. Wolfrum graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University at Buffalo with a degree in psychology and biology. He received his medical degree in Podiatry from The Dr. William M Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in Chicago, IL. He attributes his knowledge, dedication, work ethic, and skills to the excellent training he received at school.
After medical school, Dr. Wolfrum began residency at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. After two years, he decided to transfer to the VA NY Harbor Healthcare System in Manhattan and Brooklyn for two additional years. The VA offered the added benefit of training under surgeons in Phoenix at Banner hospitals, performing Charcot Reconstruction, total ankle replacement, trauma surgery, external fixation, fracture repair of the foot and ankle, soft tissue pathology and tendon and ligament repair, as well as reconstructive procedures of the mid and forefoot.
Today, Dr. Wolfrum specializes in Forefoot reconstruction, Flatfoot Reconstruction, Advanced Wound Care, Trauma, Charcot Reconstruction, External Fixation, General Podiatric Care, Diabetic Foot Care, Soft Tissue Repair and Balancing. Lapiplasty, and Minimally Invasive Surgery.
Dr. Wolfrum believes in addressing aggravating and underlying conditions in order to properly treat and achieve the best quality of life for his patients. He is caring and empathetic and believes it is important to establish a surgeon-patient relationship based on trust and transparency.

I went there for an unpleasant reason, ingrown toenail. My Dr was good at listening to all my issues and was good at providing solutions to my problems. He did a really good job too, at talking me through everything that was going to happen. His assistant was really good as well. Overall, very professional office.

Dr. Wolfrum was fantastic! I have had a toenail removed before (not at this facility) and it was absolute torture. This experience was the opposite. THe doctor clearly explained what he was doing and why. He ensured I was thoroughly numb before he began the procedure, and I felt nothing during the procedure. I was so nervous before my appointment expecting it to go like my last procedure. I was so relieved I could have cried! I received clear aftercare instructions and a script for an antibiotic was called into my pharmacy before I left the office. Thank you so much for your amazing care!!! P.S. It's the day after and I have zero pain!!!

The entire staff was welcoming and friendly. Everyone I came in contact with listened to me and answered any questions I had. Everything was explained to me in a clear and easy to understand manner. This was my first visit. I waited 50 minutes past my appointments time. They than took me back to a room and said someone be in a minute. I sat another 40 mins.I went to lobby and was told they didn’t know I was there. Very apologetic but was still frustrating. Dr was very nice.
