Getting to know Jacqueline Constantino
I am a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with dual certification as an adult/gerontology primary care NP. I earned my Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Chatham University. With over 14 years of nursing experience, my goal is to provide compassionate, holistic care to help clients achieve optimal wellness.
My approach
In addition to psychopharmacotherapy, I utilize theoretical approaches including Behaviorism, Cognitive, and Humanistic. Each client encounter is unique, requiring awareness, sensitivity, and unconditional acceptance of that person and their needs. The CARE Approach is a framework I have always practiced, emphasizing empathy, being patient-centered, and encouraging effective communication and self-reflection.
My focus
I am comfortable treating a wide range of conditions, including depression, anxiety, insomnia, mood disorders, ADHD, PTSD, social phobia, obsessive-compulsive disorder, binge-eating disorder, and weight management.
My communication style
My objective is to create an environment where clients feel safe and at ease sharing their personal concerns with me. It is important that clients know they have my undivided attention, that I am genuinely concerned about their well-being, and that I am invested in ensuring a positive outcome.
My first session with you
To ensure a productive first visit, please complete your intake form in advance. During our initial session, we will conduct a full mental health assessment and evaluation. There will be many questions, especially about your medical and mental health history. Once the evaluation is complete, we will discuss a treatment plan tailored to your needs to help you start feeling better as soon as possible.
