About Jacqueline Zahava Berkowicz
IMMA Acupuncture & Wellness was created by Zahava: an acupuncturist, mother, tea lover, lactation counselor, pop culture enthusiast, and passionate wellness educator.
As an advocate of women’s health and reproductive wellness, Zahava has focused her studies on treating fertility, pregnancy, menopause, PCOS, endometriosis, migraines, thyroid disorders, depression, and anxiety for women. Zahava is also a certified lactation counselor through the Healthy Children Project to help her patients navigate the world of breastfeeding.
Zahava is a Doctor of Acupuncture certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She received her Masters of Science in Acupuncture and her doctorate from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. Zahava has trained extensively in the Balance Method, a style of acupuncture known for its quick and effective techniques in treating chronic musculoskeletal pain.
Her goal is to support, educate, and empower women throughout all of their life stages.

I cannot reccomend Chicago Family Accupuncture more. Zahava is incredible and makes you feel so cared for. Her passion and dedication to her clients is unmatched. Her staff is also amazing!! I know every time I walk in the door I will receive such a warm welcome from Chelsea. If you are considering Accupuncture - run don’t walk to make your apt here. I never really thought I would be into acupuncture, but coming here has truly become a highlight of my week!

Meeting Zahava was such an amazing experience. For the first time in a long time I felt truly listened to by a practitioner. You can tell that Zahava really cares about her patients wellbeing. The treatment was fantastic! I felt so much better after and can’t wait to come back to see her again.

From the moment I walked in, I was relaxed and warmly welcomed. The practitioner really listened and came up with a treatment plan for me. I felt much better when I walked out then when I walked in.
I love that they handle insurance! It is such a seamless experience and I don't have to do anything. They bill my insurance company directly.

Zahava made me feel extremely comfortable. The whole experience was very Zen like for me, which I love.

As soon as you walk in you are greeted by the warmest smile and friendliest officer manager, Chelsea. Additionally, the space is stunning; every office is decorated with relaxation and beauty in mind. I started receiving acupuncture care to support fertility treatment including medication and IUIs. During our first appointment, Dr. Zahava was validating, showed empathy, and her presence/bedside manner is soothing and professionally excellent. After the first session I was able to see significant improvements in the side effects that came with ovarian stimulation meds; I saw a decrease in abdominal bloat, I was able to sleep, and nausea and headaches stopped. Additionally, as someone who has a history of anxiety and PTSD the acupuncture care that I have received at Chicago Family Acupuncture has done wonders on my nervous system. I can actually feel my body enter a parasympathetic state; I am actually relaxing and I don’t feel like I am in survival mode anymore.

I came in for one issue and Dr. Berkowicz helped me identify an underlying problem. After just two sessions I started to notice a big shift. I am so grateful for this welcoming practice. A beautiful and healing space!
