About Dr. Jae Chang
Jae Chang, DACM L.AC is a Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine and licensed acupuncturist in NY and NJ. Dr. Chang is also a certified herbalist, and certified nationally with NCCAOM (National Certification Committee for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine) and has a master’s degree in biochemistry. As a second-generation acupuncturist and herbalist, Dr. Chang has been extensively trained in the fields of Western medicine, biochemistry, eastern medicine, five-element style acupuncture, and qi gong exercise.
Dr. Chang started his journey into the art of healing in conventional medicine and was admitted to Korea Central Medical University with a full scholarship. That’s when his passion for integrative and natural medicine has been seeded. In the US, he studied and received a master’s degree in biochemistry. He spent many years researching the chemical agents against tumors and those affecting heart conditions. His research subject includes::

While studying natural science, Dr. Chang found a deeper passion for helping people in a natural and holistic way rather than just relying on drugs which could do more damage than good. Through decades of qi gong practice, he found the meridian system is not just a theory, but an actual energetic network that deeply impacts one’s health and illness. Later, he enrolled in the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine to study energy healing further and received a Master of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine. He received two years of clinical training in acupuncture and herbology. Through years of practice and research, he formulated the Qi Flow Healing Work System in 2012 based on his 30+ years of qi gong practice, which proved to be one of the most effective acupuncture techniques in relieving hard-to-treat illnesses.

This was my first session. I pretty much dragged myself into his office today. I was very stiff and in a lot of pain in my lower back and neck. After the session I can move And walk without pain and stiffness.

I was skeptical about acupuncture treatment on a badly sprained ankle though I heard it’s the best option out there. So I booked to try out for my daughter where she struggled to even put a weight on the leg.
The doctor looked at it from many angles and asked about the pain and assured me it’s not broken. He then started to carefully place the needles on her feet with the red heat for some time. Came back and placed some burning buds (not painful) and let it burn so the herbal medicine can penetrate deep. This was Friday and we booked for 2 more treatments.
By Monday, surprisingly 90%of swelling is all gone looking close to normal and she can walk and finds little pain. What a surprise!!!
I had a similar contusions on a finger for her friend and we decided to go with a modern medicine and she still has swelling remaining after nearly 2 weeks. I would definitely recommend accupincture for sprained injuries or contusions and for that Dr.Chang sure knows how to treat them!!!

I have been going to Changs for almost a decade, I have brought most members of my family and friends to be cared for by Dr Chang. Both he and his wife are two of the most compassionate people I know!
One of the best-kept secrets is Dr Chang does acupuncture facials as well, better than Botox! You have to try it to believe it!

I’m so glad my friend recommended Chang’s to me! The best acupuncture treatment I’ve experienced. I was able to recover from my back injury so much faster with the treatments. I’m sure their herbal medicine helped too.

Dr. Chang is the best! He is knowledgeable and has excellent bed side manners. His office is welcoming, clean, and the front desk is organized. I have been going to him since 20I9 and look forward to it each week.

Solid assistance. Straight to the point and they take their time to hear out where you’re injured and they try to help. I’m seen significant improvement in my knees for sure lol. Improved my squat.
