About Dr. James Atkins

Our office specializes in treating sinus and environmental allergy patients only.
Sinus specialist James Atkins, MD, is the founder of Atkins Expert Sinus Care. Dr. Atkins opened his practice in 2000 with the goal of focusing on sinus problems after realizing that many of his patients needed a more focused and experienced approach to their complex sinus disease.
Atkins Expert Sinus Care offers the latest advances in sinus treatments and procedures. Dr. Atkins invented many of the tools and techniques used for modern day balloon sinuplasty.
He offers TruDi™ balloon sinuplasty (BSP), which uses an advanced 3-D imaging system to make balloon sinuplasty more accurate and more successful.
Dr. Atkins was born and raised in Galveston, TX. He went to college at UT Austin and went to medical school and residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.

Dr. Atkins has one of the best bedside manners I’ve ever experienced at a physician office. He was so caring and attentive . Also explained everything in great detail in a way that was very easy to understand. He performed a sinus CT the same day as my appointment to get me answers ASAP, and for the first time in a long time I’m hopeful to finally be rid of my ear discomfort and pain.
