About Dr. James Gullett

Please do not see this doctor if you are having life-altering gyno issues. After explaining my debilitating and prolonged periods among other chronic and painful symptoms, he insisted that I should “stop googling” which is something I’ve never done. After explaining my inability to be intimate due to chronic pelvic pain, he responded “besides not being able to fool around, what’s wrong?” He spoke over me at both of my appointments with him and after reviewing his post-care notes, he didn’t record the majority of symptoms that impact my everyday life. Even after having an abnormal ultrasound finding, he proceeded to tell me that my weight was the issue, neglecting the understanding that I have gained weight due to my severe fatigue issue that I had mentioned in the appointment. According to my BMI, I’m not even considered obese but rather the lower end of overweight which makes his claim unwarranted and ignorant. Save yourself time and a second opinion and go to someone else.

Great doctor! He’s humorous, informed and professional. As a black woman, I’m not always sure about male or (what I perceive as a white male doctor) and he was great and treated as all Doctors should. Fully recommend! His staff was also very nice, and professional.

The office staff were all kind, organized and professional. You can just tell everyone gets along well in the office and that helps things flow. They were quick to get me in and out and my labs done. Dr. James Gillett was wonderful. You can tell he has been in his field a long time and I want that in an OB! He listened to me, made eye contact, asked me how I wanted to proceed in my visit for insurance purposes aware that time is money, when we got to talking about cancer and I didn't get it, he literally drew me a picture. I wouldn't recommend anyone else!

Dr. Gullet is NOT the stereotypical male OBGYN. Unlike other OBGYNs I’ve seen, he: listened to every concern I had, actually read my chart and history beforehand, discussed potential diagnoses/tests with entry level medical language, kept the costs of tests in mind, only ordered what was needed to minimize burden of costs, gave clear directions for how to contact him/his staff afterwards and how to use the patient portal/telehealth, saw me quickly (under 30 minute wait in the lobby) and spoke in his office first to get to know me and my concerns. His expertise on PCOS/hormonal imbalances is concise and truly evidence based. The empathy and respect Dr. Gullet showed was refreshing. Getting to speak to my OBGYN in an office first was 100x more comfortable than just speaking to them sitting in the exam room. Dr. Gullet called with my results (I saw them in the portal too), and later called again to follow up with additional helpful info!

Dr. Gullett took the time to listen to his patient. I was nervous discussing about women’s exam but he thoroughly discussed how it went including contraceptive methods. He’s polite, friendly and knowledgeable. The staff team is really friendly from check-in to the end. Highly recommended!

I've already been to four different doctors, but none of them compares to the care of Dr. Gullet. He is attentive, explains everything calmly, is available, and his team is wonderful! I can't believe I was able to schedule an appointment with him so easily. We are very happy!
