About Dr. James Ko

Dr. James Ko is a board certified dermatologist specializing in medical dermatology, treating both adult and pediatric patients. Dr. Ko was born and raised in Baltimore, MD. As an undergraduate at Washington University, he majored in biology and minored in psychology and graduated with honors. He would continue his training at Washington University School of Medicine where he graduated medical school. After graduating from medical school, Dr. Ko completed an internship in medicine at University of Maryland Medical Center and moved back to St. Louis to complete his dermatology residency in St. Louis at the Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine, Barnes Jewish Hospital, and St. Louis Children's Hospital Consortium. Dr. Ko is certified by the American Board of Dermatology. His clinical interests are broad ranging from complex and general medical dermatology to the detection, prevention, and treatment of skin cancer. His society memberships include the American Academy of Dermatology, Philadelphia Dermatologic Society, and the Pennsylvania Academy of Dermatology.
