About Dr. James Martin

Dr. James W. Martin, Jr. was born and raised in Waynesville, North Carolina. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Audiology and Speech Pathology from The Ohio State University, his Master's Degree in Audiology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and his Doctorate of Audiology (Au.D.) from A.T. Still University, Mesa. Dr. Martin worked in an ENT practice for over ten years and spent 25 years as a national and international training audiologist and Director of Audiological Communication for Widex. He is a member of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA) and was the recipient of the American Speech and Hearing Association's Editor's Award for published research in auditory neurophysiology. Dr. Martin is passionate about helping his patients reach their full potential-empowering them with technology and guiding them on their journey to better hearing. He currently lives in Knoxville with his wife, Dr. Karen Martin, and their two children.
