I began my healthcare career as a nursing assistant, and that early experience shaped everything about how I practice today. Building a strong foundation in hands-on patient care from the start gave me a deep appreciation for what patients go through and what they need from their care team. With more than eight years of medical-surgical experience and additional years in urgent care and express care settings, I bring a well-rounded clinical background to my role as a family nurse practitioner at Novant Health Adult Primary Care - Harper Hill. That breadth of experience means I'm comfortable managing a wide range of acute and chronic conditions and adapting quickly to whatever a patient brings through the door. My approach to care is patient-centered, with a strong focus on prevention, timely treatment and improving overall health. At Novant Health, we believe in empowering patients to take an active role in their own wellbeing, and that's something I carry into every appointment. I work to build trusting relationships with the people I see, listening carefully and making sure each person feels heard and supported. Whether the pace is fast or the situation is complex, my commitment to safety and quality stays constant. Outside of work, I'm happiest when I'm in the garden, spending time outdoors or planning the next trip somewhere new.
