Hi there, I'm Dr. Jamila M Brown, a licensed clinical psychologist with over 10 years of experience providing compassionate and culturally responsive therapy to individuals, couples, and families. As a therapist, I believe in creating a safe and non-judgmental space where my clients can share their concerns, explore their thoughts and emotions, and work towards improving their overall well-being.
I specialize in working with members of the LGBTQ+ community, people of color, and those from diverse cultural backgrounds. I recognize that everyone's experiences are unique, and I strive to provide culturally responsive care that takes into account the unique needs and experiences of each of my clients. I'm passionate about helping my clients navigate life's challenges and empower them to become their best selves.
My clinical approach is informed by my training in evidence-based practices, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based interventions. I believe that each of my clients is the expert in their own life, and I work collaboratively with them to develop a treatment plan that is tailored to their individual needs and goals.
My goal as a therapist is to help my clients gain insight into their behavior patterns, develop coping strategies, and achieve their goals. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, or identity concerns, I'm here to help. I believe that therapy can be a powerful tool for growth and healing, and I'm committed to providing my clients with the tools and support they need to achieve their full potential.
