My approach Mental illnesses can be as catastrophic as physical illnesses. I do my best to empower patients to overcome mental illness so they can reach their highest level of functioning. My communication style A comfortable liaison so we can work together effectively. My journey to mental healthcare I started out being a family nurse practitioner in a small rural town, where I saw the majority of my patients who also had mental illness. My goals for you I find out what the goals of the patient are, and where they want to be, and proceed from there! Our first session An hour evaluation entails answering questions about a patient's history and current concerns.
