About Dr. Janet Leidy

Dr. Janet Leidy is a Licensed Acupuncturist and Practitioner of Oriental Medicine who is Board Certified with the NCCAOM as a Diplomate in Oriental Medicine. She currently serves as the Academic Dean, Chief Academic Officer, and Associate Professor of the Won Institute of Graduate Studies. Dr. Leidy formerly served the Won Institute as Director and Program Developer of the Doctor of Acupuncture Program from 2019 to 2022 and Acupuncture Studies Department Chair from 2012 to 2016. Dr. Leidy has an extensive background in both the teaching and practice of bodywork and the healing sciences. In 2002, she founded the National Academy of Massage Therapy & Healing Sciences where she served as Executive Director and Director of Massage Therapy Education from 2002-2010. She later sold the massage therapy school to the Lansdale School of Business, an accredited junior college in North Wales, PA. Dr. Leidy holds a Doctor of Health Science degree from NOVA Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, FL where she completed her capstone research on acupuncture and weight loss. She holds a Doctor of Acupuncture degree from the Won Institute of Graduate Studies She also holds a Masters degree in Acupuncture Studies from the Won Institute of Graduate Studies where she graduated as class valedictorian. Her Bachelor of Arts degree in nutrition is from Rowan University. Dr. Leidy also completed the Herbal Medicine certification training and clinical internship at the Won Institute. She studied acupuncture and herbal medicine abroad in Iksan, South Korea at the Wonkwang University where she received both hospital and university training in Traditional Korean Medicine. Her private acupuncture practice, Acupuncture For Life, is located in Hatfield, PA.
