Marriage and Family Therapist
6136 Frisco Square Blvd, Frisco, TX
I’m a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist who works with both individuals and couples seeking meaningful, lasting change in their relationships, emotional well-being, and daily lives. Whether you’re struggling with communication breakdowns, emotional disconnection, anxiety, overwhelm, trust concerns, or major life transitions, I provide a supportive space to better understand what’s keeping you stuck and how to move forward. My approach is structured, collaborative, and attachment-informed, integrating evidence-based modalities such as Gottman Method Couples Therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). I believe many people are not lacking effort—they’re often stuck in patterns they were never taught how to change. Together, we focus on identifying those patterns while building practical tools to improve communication, emotional regulation, confidence, and connection. Clients often describe my style as warm, direct, supportive, and down-to-earth. I strive to create a nonjudgmental environment where you can feel safe being honest while also feeling gently challenged toward growth and accountability. Sessions are both insight-oriented and practical, helping you apply what you learn in therapy to everyday life and relationships. I work with couples navigating conflict, recurring arguments, trust repair, and emotional distance, as well as individuals experiencing relational stress, anxiety, burnout, self-esteem concerns, or feeling stuck in unhealthy cycles. I especially enjoy working with high-functioning adults who appear to “hold it together” externally while feeling overwhelmed internally. I provide telehealth counseling services throughout Texas, Louisiana, and Virginia, with limited in-person availability at my Frisco, Texas office. My goal is to help you strengthen relationships, build confidence, and create a greater sense of peace, clarity, and stability in your life.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if you’re used to handling things on your own or you’ve had experiences where you didn’t feel fully understood or supported. One of the most important things I want new clients to know is that therapy with me is meant to feel human, collaborative, and grounded in real-life change—not cold, overly clinical, or focused solely on “talking about feelings” without direction. My style is warm, direct, and supportive. I believe meaningful growth happens when you feel safe enough to be honest while also being challenged to look at patterns that may no longer be serving you. I won’t judge you for where you are, the struggles you’re having, or the mistakes you’ve made. Instead, we’ll work together to better understand what’s happening beneath the surface and build practical tools to help you move forward in a healthier way. I work with both individuals and couples, and much of my work focuses on communication, emotional connection, anxiety, relationship stress, trust concerns, and navigating difficult life transitions. I use evidence-based approaches such as Gottman Method Couples Therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), while also tailoring treatment to your unique needs, goals, and personality. Clients often tell me they appreciate that our sessions feel structured and productive while still being conversational and authentic. I believe therapy should help you gain both insight and action—understanding why patterns exist while also learning how to respond differently in everyday life. You do not have to have everything figured out before starting therapy. You just need a willingness to show up, be open to the process, and allow yourself the opportunity to grow. My goal is to help you strengthen your relationships, build confidence and emotional awareness, and create greater peace, clarity, and stability in your life.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My approach to therapy is collaborative, structured, and tailored to your unique needs and goals. Early sessions focus on understanding what is bringing you to therapy, the patterns you feel stuck in, and what meaningful change looks like for you. I believe therapy works best when there is both insight and action, so our work focuses on understanding your experiences while also building practical tools you can use in everyday life. A typical session is conversational but purposeful. We may process recent experiences, relationship dynamics, emotional reactions, or stressors while identifying the deeper patterns, beliefs, or attachment needs connected to them. I often help clients slow situations down to better understand what is happening beneath the surface instead of staying stuck only in the conflict or symptoms. Depending on your goals, sessions may include communication work, emotional regulation strategies, boundary setting, attachment-focused exploration, or skill-building exercises to practice outside of therapy. I integrate evidence-based approaches including Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy. This allows me to balance deeper emotional processing with practical strategies for improving relationships, managing stress, and creating forward movement. For couples, sessions often focus on identifying negative interaction cycles, improving communication, rebuilding emotional safety, and strengthening connection. For individuals, we may focus on anxiety, overwhelm, self-esteem, relationship patterns, or navigating difficult life transitions. Clients often describe my style as warm, direct, supportive, and down-to-earth. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe being honest while also feeling gently challenged toward growth and meaningful change.

More information on payments and coverage

I understand that navigating insurance and payment options for therapy can sometimes feel confusing, and I strive to make the process as clear and straightforward as possible. For clients located in Texas and Virginia, I am able to process most major insurance plans and payments through Headway, which also helps verify benefits and simplify billing. At this time, I am considered out-of-network for clients in Louisiana. However, depending on your insurance plan, you may still be eligible for partial reimbursement through out-of-network benefits. In those cases, I can provide a superbill that you may submit directly to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Because insurance coverage and benefits can vary widely between plans, I strongly encourage potential clients to reach out before scheduling so we can discuss and help confirm your available options. In many cases, there may be multiple pathways for using insurance or accessing affordable care. My goal is to help you better understand your coverage so you can make an informed decision about beginning therapy.
