About Dr. Janie Morales

Dr. Morales is a licensed audiologist and hearing aid dispenser in the state of New York. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competency in Audiology as a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Twenty years ago, she entered into the field as a speech therapist where she worked with preschool age children for five years. Ultimately, she decided to change careers and pursue the field of audiology. In 2011 she graduated from the City University of New York Graduate Center with a Doctorate degree in Audiology. She has clinical experience with newborn through geriatric population, diagnostic audiological evaluations, evaluation and treatment of vestibular disorders, hearing aids, FM systems, electrophysiological assessments, auditory processing evaluations and treatment. While appropriate diagnosis is essential, her passion within the field has always been in the areas of rehabilitation. Being able to provide treatment options and/or the appropriate referrals to her patients has always been an important aspect of the continuity of care that Dr. Morales provides to her patients. When she is not helping patients, Dr. Morales enjoys spending her free time with her husband and three children. She is often found on the sidelines watching her children play sports, volunteering on the PTA board at her kids’ elementary school, training for her dream to one day run in the NYC marathon, and spending time with her large extended family and incredible circle of friends.
