Dr. Jason Hou is a specialist in acupuncture at Solar Health Physical Therapy & Acupuncture, located in Brooklyn, NY. He has over 7 years of clinical experience working as a licensed acupuncturist. Dr. Jason started his journey in the helping profession as a trauma care technician in the U.S. Army more than a decade ago. He then went on to pursue a career in acupuncture. Over the years, Jason gained valuable experience working with patients suffering from a wide range of conditions.
Dr. Jason earned his master's degree in acupuncture from the Pacific College of Health and Science. As a part of his education, Jason was also trained in electrical stimulation, Moxa, cupping, and tuina in addition to acupuncture during his internship.
Dr. Jason has an extensive experience in pain management, Chinese Medicine diet, weight management, stress reduction, and post-surgery recovery. His patient also often see him for various problems, such as lower back pain, radicular pain, itching, hip pain, gastrointestinal problems, gastroesophageal reflux disease, gastritis, arthritis, frozen shoulder, carpel tunnel syndrome, and Bell’s palsy.
Bilingual in English and Mandarin, Jason gives patients from different cultural backgrounds his focused attention. Through combining various body work techniques, Dr. Jason prides himself on delivering the best treatment available. It was great! Jason was very easy to talk to and discuss the issues I’ve been having (I am going for gastrointestinal, immune system, and stress. He talked to me about the process and the areas that we would focus on and why. Very receptive to questions.

I have a seasonal allergy. Jason put needles on my face near my nose and I felt much better. The clinic is serene and calming music. It was a pleasant experience while I was receiving the treatment!
