The office staff and Dr. Barnett was very discrete and professional. They were also very fast!
I was checked by Dr Lauren, excellent!
Dr. Barnett is knowledgeable. His team is professional. I was treated well. I will visit again in the future.
It was brief. I would have appreciated a bit more time for discussion regarding my condition.
Straightforward and he answered all my questions.
The visit was great. Dr. Barnett was fantastic.
Staff friendly and helpful. Dr. Barnett addressed each issue I had. He treated each problem and gave reasonable advice in a relaxed manner.
I'm a healthcare professional and let's just say I won't be going back. He walked in shook my hand, introduced himself and then told me he had prescribed me a medication and that I should apply it in a thin layer and come back in 6-8 weeks. I had another issue but we agreed I should come back when its active. All of this took anywhere from 30-45 seconds if even that long. My biggest qualm was that there was no assessment on his part. No looking at my skin, no examination of the types of boils on my face....perhaps I was expecting too much? Either way I'll pick my prescription up (investigate it thoroughly since he made no mention of what it is ) but I'll also be moving on.
Dr. Barnett is fantastic!! He is the best of the best in this area. Dr. Barnett is extremely knowledgable, and is able to identify the problem and solution with confidence and accuracy. He takes the time to explain the science behind the condition, and why the treatment is the right fit for each individual. Dr. Barnett is a very pleasant, friendly, and trustworthy doctor, and I highly recommend him.
He was fine but did not seem particularly interested in my condition. Also, the check in was frustrating. I did all the online forms 2 days before the appointment and received a text from ZocDoc that they had been submitted. When I got there the desk said they did not have the forms. The text from ZocDoc said to send an "S" for support, which I did. Someone called me and said their system showed the office had printed the forms. The front desk insisted they did not have them and she was very unpleasant about it. When I told the doctor, he said "I have nothing to do with that; that's not my area." As a doctor in the practice he should care if his patients are inconvenienced during check in and about the management of his office. I pressed and he said he would talk to the office manager. Overall I think the office was not apologetic at all about me having to fill out the forms a second time and was annoyed with me for even mentioning it.
GREAT bed side manner. Very understanding and works for you
My appointment was scheduled through Zocdoc and that worked out well. The office staff were great, very personable and the doctor was very knowledgeable. I was glad to see that they accepted my health insurance. I will return to this doctor.
Very efficient in all respects
Quick and painless visit.
The wait time was horrible, but the appointment was quick and easy. The doctor was very nice and helpful.
Very professional & pleasent. Answered all my questions.
I visited with Lauren, a physician assistant- she was great. Very nice and very thorough, answered all my questions, and made the process of a mole removal very painless. I will be going back to this office for sure! The front office staff was excellent, very friendly, and you didnt feel rushed by them or anything. Nursing assistant was so sweet and very patient and kind.
Super friendly doctor .Very knowledgeable !Highly recommended!
I've always found this practice to be very professional and helpful.
Great doc-he came highly recommended and did not disappoint. My son and I both saw Dr. Barnett and he was friendly and thorough with us both. Wouldnt go anywhere else.
Dr. Barnett is a trusted professional
He saw me for about 30 seconds and was very unattentive. I tried asking him questions about what he was prescribing for my acne and he said he was busy and to schedule another appointment.. Never again
Seemed disinterested in the reason for my appt, telling me simply "I have no idea what's causing that." Point blank. No questions or probing or "doctoring", just "I don't know". Maybe there wasn't more he could have done or asked, but I felt dismissed, and rushed. Won't go back.
I was supposed to get a body scan to check for any regularities on my skin. Apparently a whole body scan consists of looking at your body (back and front). It took 10 minutes. My drive and eating period took an hour. Not impressed for being a first time patient.
Clear, concise appointment. Completed what I needed done in an efficient and friendly manner.
Dr. Barrett was matter-of-fact, friendly, and efficient. Highly recommend.
Very professional staff
The visit went well. The attention was prompt and Dr. Barnett took care of everything I needed.
Dr Barnett answered my questions and recommend a new prescription. Very professional.
Wait time in exam room was less than 2 minutes!!!
Fast and efficient. Good Doc.
Quick and easy
Efficient, and thourough
Dr Barnett diagnosed my problem quickly and escripted a prescription right over to my pharmacy.
The docotr's office had no knowledge of my appointment Despite multiple confirmations through zocdoc. Fortunately they were still able to see me today.
Doctor failed to read the information that I had provided.
Dr. Barnett and his staff were fast and friendly! The nurse and Dr. greeted me with smiles and completed the exam and procedure very efficiently. I would definitely recommend this office.
I don't feel like he was attentive to my needs. I went for consultation on my hair and before taking a look at my problem he stereotyped me. He suggested I stop using hotcombs and chemicals. I am an African American with natural thin curly textured hair.
Dr Barnett and office staff were friendly and efficient. Got what we needed quickly. Would recommend to others.
He was very kind, to the point and answered all of my questions. This office has very quick patient turnover.
Good welcome and excellent and candid advice
Great practice! I recommend!
He was good to us.
very quick but solved the problem
Dr. Barnett's provided a thorough exam and treatment and communicated clearly about the entire visit. I felt at ease under his care ad recommend his to anybody.
This was the first time I had met with this doctor! He was very nice and very professional. He made me feel extremely comfortable and I would absolutely go back!
I had a growth removed. He was very upfront and clear on process. I was nervous as I have never had anything cut off my body let alone injected with a needle for numbing. He assured me it would be basically painless and a 2 minute procedure. He was spot on. Even with ab overly crowded waiting room in his Bethesda location, he spent time and gave me full attention. Highly recommended. I did wait for over 30 minutes. But it was worth it.
Very knowledgeable and friendly.
The physician and altmost everyone in the office are very friendly and proffecionals .exept that my prescription were send to another pharmacy.. Buy called and they fixed the problem right away ..that was great
He seemed very competent. The office was efficient and friendly. I booked an appointment with him because I could get into see him quickly. My regular dermatologist has a long waiting list and I had a rash that needed quick attention. Wish I had met him a long time ago.
I was taken in on time, and Dr. Barnett took care of my issue.
Office a bit outdated. In need of an update. Staff was wonderful and Doc was great! Gave me all the time I needed and made me feel very comfortable for my procedure.
Quick and to the point. Made an accurate diagnosis and wrote me a prescription but that was it.
He came up with immediate solutions to bothbof my main problems.
Helpful and right to the point. I had a great time.
Doctor is very professional. His explanation about the issue is very clear. I got the treatment immediately in the visit. Stuff also very friendly and helpful. All are active. Main thing doctor is giving good time to speak and explain. He is listening us and understanding issue properly.
Dr. Barnett has mediocre bedside manners. I felt tense the entire visit because he said a total of maybe 10 words including his introduction & handshake. I waited for close to an hour watching quite a few patients who arrived AFTER me get taken back. I feel like the office staff should communicate if a patient is running behind to their waiting patients. He treated my problem and gave absolutely NO follow-up instructions whatsoever. 30 minutes later after I left the office I was in pain and tears and had to call the on-call line to speak with another physician who was very helpful and informative. She didnt even seem surprised when I mentioned who I saw and what happened but I am very grateful to have been able to consult with her for proper care. I will NOT return to see Dr. Barnett.
This was my first visit. I booked through Zocdoc but front desk couldn't find my appointment. Still they were very courteous and fit me in almost immediately. I was very pleased.
Excellent bedside manner. Very professional office. Very satisfied
Very professional and nice
The doctor looked at my face for maybe 10 seconds said he was going to write me a prescription for something. He seened rushed and spoke so fast that I asked again what i was being prescribed and ge repeated just as fast and was like goodbye. He asked me no questions and the prescription when i picked it up was over the counter cortisone which had he asked me, i would have told him does not work. Currently i cant get anyone in the office to help remedy. Worst experience ever! I'm going to have to make another appt w a doctor who cares about their patients.
The narrow and uninviting waiting room was so full that not all patients had seats, yet the office was still giving out same-day appointments. Dr. Barnett keeps three or four treatment rooms active at all times, and each consultation takes him just a couple of minutes. So the long wait times must be a deliberate attempt to maximize the doctor's revenue over the patient's best interests, which are not served by the long waits. Apparently, they're routine as the receptionist advised us on times we should book that would minimize our wait. It is essential that the doctor reevaluate his practice of overbooking, which is borderline deceptive since the office knows in advance that a patient booking at a given time will not be seen within 45 minutes of that time.
quick and professional
He was very fast. Did not ask me any questions. I would have loved to hear him asking a lot of questions to make sure that I am taking care of my skin
Dr. Jay Barnett was very pleasant and provided a quick assessment. Thank you!!
Very good visit, concise
Very kind and professional. Took time to listen.
Professional, smart, & friendly. The perfect doctor. His staff was some of the most efficient & welcoming I've ever experienced
Really kind and to-the-point. Friendly mannerisms and definitely helpful.
Professional, quick, and exactly what I needed.
At first the front desk didn't have the appointment I made via ZocDoc, but all went smoothly after I verified I had used ZocDoc. Relatively short wait and quick moments with the Doc was all I needed. Very happy.
He was quick and gave great recommendations for how to handle my situation.
Fantastic experience. Straightforward to the point and friendly.
Dr. Barnett was very professional and knowledgeable. I recommend him!
The office was very crowded and there were not enough seats. The examination room itself is very smell and looks so outdated. I felt Dr. Barnett was polite and he did listen to my problem but it was so quick. He was in and out in five minutes. I am not sure I would go there again but it is in a convenient location with free parking which is nice.
Great so far...
Barnett has a good reputation and the office is run efficiently.
Discussed everything I wanted to talk to him about. His office participates with my insurance company - great!
Doctor was nice , kind ,professional and quick ,suits my day.
Wait time was long and the waiting room was crowded. Took a little over an hour. Dr. Barnett was friendly and handled my condition appropriately. I would go back because it's close to my home, but I wish the wait times were under an hour.
Very, very quick. But, accurate diagnosis and friendly demeanor.
service as always was quick and excellent. not my first trip
Dr. Barnett was both quick and efficient. He did a full body exam without making me feel subconscious or scared. I really appreciated that, and will definitely go back to him in the future.
Wait time was long and the physician was very rushed to get out.
Everything went smoothly but as a new patient I was not told that the office closes an hour for lunch. I arrived 20 minutes early only to discover that the door was locked and they were at lunch. It would be helpful if that information was shared with a new patient.
Exceptionally friendly office staff reflected Dr. Barnett's approach. He was friendly, relaxed and interested in his patient's condition.
Unlike a previous reviewer, I found Dr. Barnett to be both friendly and professional. He asked the right questions and provided treatment immediately. I recommend him highly.
Dr. Barnett was excellent. He gave me a full lookover and removed two suspicious areas on my skin quickly and with no pain.
Was way too arrogant and no respect.
Very professional and very competent.
Very professional and skilled with a needle. I was nervous but Dr. Barnett did an excellent job and I hardly felt ti.
This office is always packed. Because of thaf, it feels like Dr. Barnett is herding cattle, not seeing patients. He talks so quickly, never asks if you have a question and doesn't really take the time to listen. Not to mention the super long (30-90 min) wait times.
The office is clean and well kept, the staff is friendly and the doctor was excellent!
A little curt and there were questions I asked directly that went unanswered. It was kind of a shock to pick up my prescription and find that it was sixty dollars. I understand that different insurances handle scripts differently - but my coverage is good, so it was really surprising to have to pay so much and not be warned by the doc or even instructed thoroughly in how to use it and what other skincare can be used in conjunction. I wish I'd listened to the reviews rather than driving twenty miles to see this doctor... It would've been better to pay a higher co-pay to see someone who answered my questions - particularly since acne is a very distressing, personal issue that has been affecting my self esteem.
I am a little disappointed as he spent less that a minute with me. Either he is too smart or he could care less. He has given me the medicine to last for six weeks and I'll wait and see how it works.
Very rushed, a tad condescending, and quite an uncomfortable manner. On the things that brought me in to see him, however, he was certainly helpful in that he wrote the prescriptions that I needed. Note: The office is a lot less Metro accessible than it looks on the map. Federal officers will prevent you from cutting through the NIH campus after getting off at the Medical Center station—quite an unhealthy built environment. It is an unpleasant 1.1 mile walk along two major speedways. I do not think I will return but my trip to see him served its purpose.
Great. Honest. Great. Great.
He knew what the diagnosis was immediately so the appt. went very quickly. I think that my office wait was longer than it usually is.
It was fine.
The place was incredibly efficient, which is a good thing. However, Dr. Barnett was efficient to the point where it caught me off guard, didn't tell me enough about my problem or solutions, and left me uncomfortable to ask any question in expense of his efficiency.
Overall good. You only see him briefly and he works very quickly. I asked questions about the procedure I was having done and his answers were short and not very explanatory. Seems like a very nice guy though.
staff is wonderfull !!!!!!! the doctor make me feel that he was in a hurry:( But he was nice and polite
he is not very friendly or personable, but he did give me the correct treatment.
Dr. Barnett is very efficient. I scheduled just a consultation but got my cosmetic procedure right away.
Excellent, very efficient and professional.
it was efficient that sums it up. he wasnt the friendliest doctor. he also didnt explain wha he thought my issue might be, just suggested a medication for me to try and we would see how it affected the skin problem.
Dr. Barnett was extremely knowledgeable and knew exactly what was wrong with me. I am so grateful!!
Quick but good. Very thorough and too the point
Dr. Barnett was thorough, funny and awesome! Office is in a great location. It was so easy to book my appointment on Zocdoc.
I have found Dr. Barnett's practice to very professional and Dr. Glaser and his staff to have a friendly and personable demeanor. Dr. Barnett is one of the best doctors I've ever seen. I refer everyone I know to him.
i'd definitely see him again.
Dr. Barnett and his staff were all very professional and cordial.
