I’ve been seeing Dr. Katzman for about 7 years. Right from the start he struck me as not only knowledgeable but kind. He actually listens, an increasing rarity among physicians. That attitude extends to the equally stellar staff. You can’t do much better when it comes to gastroenterologists!

I don't usually recommend doctors if they are only good or okay but Dr. Katzman was exceptional. Made me feel very comfortable right away and had a very professional attitude at the same time. Also he was very thorough in his case review and history taking. Probably one of the best doctors I have ever seen in NYC. Staff was very good, too!

Dr. Katzmann himself was great, though the front desk forgot to put in my chart and I ended up waiting 45 minutes past my appointment time (I was 10min early, too), when the doctor was free the entire time - I noticed something was off when the front desk started forwarding calls from other patients to him half an hour into my appointment time.

I was really nervous. This was my first GI doctor, first endoscopy, etc. The anesthesiologist went out of his way to make sure all of my questions were answered and nerves were addressed. Dr. Katzmann was thorough in his review of my symptoms and potential diagnosis. This was a 5 star experience. From Jevone at the front desk to the IV going in my arm, the entire experience was comfortable, efficient, and thorough. Thank you!!

Dr. Katzman is great; obviously extremely knowledgeable and great at what he does. I asked him close to a million questions as I was highly concerned with my condition, and he was just so, so patient with me. He's pretty "no nonsense," but honestly, that's what everyone should want in a doctor. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a great gastro.

Dr. Katzman performed a colonoscopy and an upper GI for me (Happy 50th birthday to me!). It was a very positive experience, and his staff was great in helping me sort out some new insurance issues. Highly reccommended.

Dr. Katzman and his entire team are incredibly friendly and professional and truly care about the well being of their patients. I was sent to Dr. Katzman from my Otolaryngologist for a routine endoscopy and was a little nervous upon going in. However at our first appointment, Dr. Katzman was very professional and talked with me about my symptoms in detail, answering a number of my questions. He walked me through what to expect with an endoscopy and I left feeling like I was in good hands. On the day of the endoscopy, the anesthesiologist was incredibly friendly and just talking with him before hand put me at ease. A day after the endoscopy I was feeling a little sick, they had warned me of the possible side affects, but I called the office just to check in. The receptionist said Dr. Katzman was out of the office, but they relayed the information and in just an hour I received a call back answering all my questions. Overall I highly recommend Dr. Katzman and his entire team!
