Dr. Patel is very passionate about the type of work he does and always enjoys meeting and helping new people. He has had wonderful professional relationships with all his previous patients and feels that they have accomplished a lot together, which he finds very rewarding. Dr. Patel trained extensively in psychiatry, completing his residency at Western Michigan University. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from Ross University and holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. He works strongly to incorporate both biological and psychological components in his practice, finding this approach very effective in helping his patients.
Dr. Patel enjoys getting to meet new people and learning about their life stories. Outside of work, he values time spent with family and enjoys various outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, and playing tennis.

Honestly this practice is just amazing from start to finish. From the start the secretary (I really wish I could remember her name) was amazing. Helped me with all my questions gave me suggestions and was just so supportive. Dr.Patel was amazing. He is so knowledgeable and I genuinely feel like he wants to help. He explains things really well and helps you really understand. I felt very comfortable with him and didn’t feel judged at all. I was able to fully explain what my issues were and got great answers all the time. I’m excited to work with Dr.Patel. 10000% recommend!

Dr. Jay Patel is an amazing doctor. I can tell he truly cares for his patients. He went above and beyond and I am so thankful I finally found a great psychiatrist. 10 out of 10 I would reccomend. Only issue was I had to wait 20min however, it was truly worth the wait and I don't. ind waiting for him in the future either- he was that good.

He continued my current set of treatment and promised to work with me on my next follow up appointment with him to check to see what else works with me if my current treatment doesn’t respond well. Dr. Patel is an amazing doctor. The prescriptions he gave to me son were so helpful on the first try. I have taken him to multiple doctors and have never found one that gave him this kind of results.
