What should a new client know about working with you?

Dr. Jubert approaches psychiatric care holistically, with emphasis on understanding how a patient’s physical health, socioeconomic circumstances, social connections, spiritual practices, and life stress all contribute to their mental health. A psychiatric symptom is rarely isolated. Depression may be driven by an undiagnosed thyroid condition. Anxiety may be worsened by unrecognized sleep apnea. ADHD symptoms in a child may coexist with trauma that standard evaluations have not explored.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Medication management and counseling are treated as integrated components of care, not separate services requiring separate appointments with separate providers. When medication is prescribed, the reasoning is explained. When counseling or coping skill development supports the treatment plan, it happens in the same appointment. Treatment adjusts over time as life circumstances shift, physical health changes, or new stressors emerge.
